my mate has just bought a new pc and wants his old one to share his 56k connection with his new pc, how can he go about this? i was thinking he could set up a peer 2 peer network linking the two pc's using network cards and a crossover cable but surely he would end up with about 30 metres of cat 5 floating about his house?

any ideas?

56k is too slow for one computer so god knows why anyonw would want to share it with 2 computers
