What are you using to search?
Ad-aware 6, HijackThis, and XoftSpy are what i'm using at the moment, and have no problems. Xoftspy runs once a week and all it ever seems to find is the odd cookie (mainly from porn sites)
(Can get trials from the official sites, or look in special shops)

System Restore, Ad-Aware, Ctrl + Alt + Delete, and look for running progs, could also try Google

was a Britney Spears vid he posted in Preem...Own fault really as you could only hear it and clicked to download codec etc and thats when It happened. Not just to me either...
Thought I could trust it as I imagined OJC had done it already as he posted it...

Same here assumed OJC had actually watched the vid before posting
just got in and its still infected but my scans arent picking it up.
Traced the corrupted files or viruses, theres two of them..
2006/11/22 17:55:55.656 C:\Documents and Settings\Steve\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\TJR7XD4E\somefile[1] is Win32/Nuvens trojan.
2006/11/22 17:563.796 C:\WINDOWS\system32\dcvwaah.dll is Win32/Spax!generic trojan.
Anyone know how I can delete these manually as cant find them physically?

Most spyware software doesn't even work Ad-Aware SE is a waste of space. Then theres the ones that add more

I suggest better virus and spyware protection in future.
I didn't realise it was infected.

They might be hidden files?
I thought i had got rid of it, and I sort of have, its in control panel>add remove>Safety Alert 2006, or something similar, that stopped it for a while, then got a few more notices, telling me my computer was running at 48%
