Anyone got info on doing this?

How hard? Where u get the materials etc to do it? Is it possible to do em in Anthracite?

How much would it cost to get a set of 15"s done and also sprayed up in anthracite?

Anyone suggest any places in the S/E area?

Cheers

Use 'Liquid metal' for filling kerb's, works very well..

Also you can buy paint expecially for alloy wheels, this tends to cover miles better than 'car paint'..

I referbed a set in Bronze for my ITR, and it took me 7 cans!

1 can off the wheel stuff will do the WHOLE SET! - £5 from most car accesseray shops..

only downside is the wheel paint is only avaible in Silver, Steel Gray, Black and white.

Kerry - sounds like a good idea end upfighting over blame. Ah well, urs wud only be goin on a vectra......

(says the boy driving a Diesel pug!!)

Vtec - yeah i'd probably use that liquid metal for the edges, but i think the rims i'm gettin are just done on the face more than anything.

well i'm gonna have a go at doin my wheels myself.

I have no rush for them, as i have perfectly good standard alloys on my Pug, so i'll work on my new un's in my spare time. If i mess it up, then i'll just take it up to a proper place.

I mean the tyre place is gonna be takin my old tyres off the rims for £10, and new uns are bout £140 which is for p6000's all round. Cant moan.

Although you would'nt think it, you can get good results without removing the tyres..

Its a lot easyier if the tyres have the rim protector edges as it leaves a 'gap' betweeen the tyre and the wheel, you can easily get to the edge to sand and paint (mask the tyre with decent masking tape.
