wud it be possible to use my 1.2 16v gearbox on a 1.4 16v engine?
wot difference (if any) wud it make?

its the same box isnt it? f13 cr even if the 1.4 has the f15 is the same gearing just stronger casing, not that the engine needs it. i got an f13 on my td and that has more torque than a gsi and its fine.

Did u put a F13 on urs Kris? Coz as std, they shud have the F15, like the nova dervs did

i have got a 94 1.4 sri and need a new gear box what one do u recomend i put in??

nope, came with f13 standard, my bros has the same, the novas did coem with f13's although there some oddballs which seem to have f15's on em.

yeah.....o well :S lol

i thought vaux especially made this f15 for the dervs, and it was WR for better consumption. is urs a f13 CR?

no mines an f13wr but i have suspicions that the one in my bros is a cr cos his revs a lot high at lower speeds, ie mine does 80 mph at 3k in 5th whereas his is doin 60 at 3k.

The only Corsa with f15 as standard was the Sport 1.6 and pre 1994 GSi's. Kris, the F15 has different ratios in 4th and 5th, and also a different final ratio.

i do not know much about these. I think they were only offered as WR on cruisers like cav 1.8/2.0 8v's, Vectra Diesels, 1.8 petrols and probably a few Astras.

kule, cos im doing a 1.7 td conversion but i want something thats a bit longer in the first couple of gears really.
