ive just had an email saying that broadband is now avalble from august the 20th for our area!!! who shuld i go with? and dont say blueyonder etc cos we cant get that! has to be BT!!!!!

also need prices etc! help me people!

No seriously, if you want to pay for a cheap reliable service Nildram Lite package, and if you want the extras etc Nildram standard. £20 for lite and £30 with extras. Never had a minute of downtime and i use it LITERALLY 24/7 since jan 20th. 24/7 meaning pc is never off and always connected.

if its only one computer needing it then go for a modem about £70 from dabs, otherwise get a router and network them together around £90 (make sure u get a modem built into the router as some dont have this apparenly)

might just go with BT. its cheaper......i know its £27 a month but the modem is only £40 and the activation is free rite now!

Nildram is a fast network, but their tech support sucks (at least they did when I was doing a corporate install somewhere)....

no I am on freeserve but I looked into broadband last week and virgin looked the best for money, support, speed, and contract. only 1 month

Well if it has to come thru your phoneline, i thought BT were the only ppl who dint need a seperate line comin in.

im on tiscali - free modem and connection £27 a month, no problems and regular d/l rate of 50-60kbps of kazaa, sometimes faster off websites

All the others use the BT line, and the ADSL connection is switched by BT to the particular ISP, so you don't HAVE to use BTopenworld...
