1. Can I keep the SRi 8v rad (will the fan/cowling get in the way) or will I need a 16v unit with the slim fan?

2. The engine is a C20XE, keep the cat or bin it? What about MOTs...?

3. Exactly what pipes do I need, I understand Ill need a GSi header tank with 2 inputs.

Thanks peeps

For the cat it depends on what the year of the car the engine comes out of.

to clear the rad housing its usually necessary to cut of the lug on the top of the gearbox, this gives some extra clearance, I had to do mine as it was so close that was worried about it knocking with the movement in the mounts, CAT yes it depends on the age of the donor car, generally if its a C20XE then it had a cat but only need to jkeep it if the engine is from a L reg or newer.

U'll need

Hubs
Driveshafts (both PVD)
Engine Mounts (availble form Lee Mitchell)
Few extra hoses
Inlet pipe from a Vectra 2.0litre Ecotec (rubber air pipe that comes form the Airflow metre)
A plate to go over the inlet manifold (that the above rubber pipe connects to) £60 form V-Tuning. Can get cheaper elsewhere, but no-where near as good a quality. Expensive, but well made! Worth paying for.
Otherwise u get the mantzel power cap, but u'll need to cut the bulkhead for that. And no point if u intend to put Throttle bodies on at a later date.

Don't forget the Power cap gives a few extra bhp.... You will need brackets to get the anti roll bar to clear the manifold too, and an induction kit.

Why have u seen them? they only got them in last week, and its nothing like mine, mine was a rushed home made job.....?
and what has thinkness got to do with it?

anti roll bar to clear the manifold - 2 blocks of ally wiith 2 holes drilled about 50p, or just use washers........

Don't forget the Power cap gives a few extra bhp and u lose Toq?
think we need to set up a powercap Vs the ecotec pipe and see if it is really worth the extra pennys and cutting 4 foot of your bulkhead away ? i will bring my car for ecotec tester?

Plate from Topgear is fine, is thin, but that makes no difference at all, workmanship is good, at best the holes need drilling out slightly.

And when you compare £25 to £60 you can see why they are a slightly better option.

We've never had any complaints. We import the kits, we don't make them, so it's not for me to start changing the contents.

As for cutting 4 foot of bulkhead out, I'd check your measurements

Sounds like a good alternative to cutting the bulkhead!!

Would a standard strut brace fit on with the ecotec pipe?

Is it the airbox to AFM pipe or the AFM to Throttle body pipe I need?

How much are your mounts Lee, do you make them yourself? As good as the M-tech PVD ones?

Cheers.

Would I need to keep the cat I presume if its from a C20XE? K plate GSi?
