Lee's mounts are quality. Bargain too.

No probs at all with plate from Topgear, sits perfectly flush, like I said, had to drill the holes out slightly, oh, and you may need washers to go over the studs due to the plate being thinner.

Total spent : £25.50

Umm - you can't compare 2 different engines in 2 different cars. That ain't the way it works!

Why not?

2 2.0litre 16v redtops
One has Mantzel cap (silly idea to have to cut the bulkhead really).
One doesn't.

Both have small wheels. Both have the same (at the mo) engine modifications. So would be quite fair.

It'll be as close to a fair test as you are gonna get it.

Surely it would just be interesting to see how the power figures compare?

Bollocks, the only fair test is the same engine with both parts.

just cos we are trying to see why we should pay a extra pennys for a powercap, and saying the PVD powercap isent the best on the market, its called customer research. We are trying to give the 2lt fitters of the future advice.

but like i say get a car with a powercap, RR it and then (you are more then welcome to borrow mine) swop it for ectotec pipe, same engine.
what happens if your powercap comes out and gives ALOT more power then the ecotec pipe, PVD can hold there head up and say "look are powercap is the best" etc etc. As u know fine well the final outcome will be the ectotec pipe will come out tops.
dident AdamK do somthing like this then he had his corsa RR, for power figues to the powercap to standard....? dident he gain about 2bhp and lost LOADS of trq.......
