See more and more folk on here on about having kids. Few of my friends have them (albeit not on purpous)

How old were you when you had your first one? I'm 30 next and have no desire for them at all!

33 here no desire. Rather buy toys for myself still.

I also especially enjoy how this way of life angers people who run their lives by a Facebook dictated timeline

Agreed. I don't like how people tell me that I'll change if I had kids. I don't know if I would or not but I'm taking no chances, ive got too much more shit to spend my money on before I'm tied down with a shit machine.

25, my sons 10 months now, still spend money on things I want as does the missus son gets a massive share aswell but people who are under the impression that having kids means buy a 7 seater, slippers and a pipe and you'll never have a spare penny untill they leave home in 18 years time etc are completely wrong, it's life changing, at times it's a total nightmare, and stressful, but the positives by far out weigh the negatives.

Having a child means your opinion on any matter in life is correct and those without kids know nothing and are scum.

I'm 31 now and my missus has just turned 30... I'm very broody. Took a while to get her on the same page, but now she definitely is stopped using contraception last month and am very excited for next year!

A lot of people have children as their relationship has become stale and they think it will fix it imho.

Last year a guy in my work who has 3 kids didn't work a full month the whole year. Due to illness, compassionate leave, parental leave and paternity. Is very close to being sacked.

Having kids puts a lot of stress/strain on a relationship. Will make or brake you tbh.

100% this! And tbh it's made and broke quite frequently, mainly just in the first 10 months when your both sleep deprived.

I'm 33, have 3 kids, first one arrived (planned) when I was 28.

I know it's cliche, but best experience in the world, my only regret is I didn't do it sooner.
So glad I didn't leave it too late in life, you definitely need a lot of energy

Had first one at 33 second at 36 soon bleed your spare cash tbh, I have a nova shell and various boxes of parts sat in the garage.

Will never get finished as wife and kids take up most of my time and all my money. That said a car won't have epic 'nerf wars' with you or play on Xbox.

Should also add I have about a 50% mortgage and paid for my pick up outright so I'm not busted.

Project thread seems to be doing fairly well considering John. I barely get time to wash and Hoover the BMW glad I haven't got a project car or toy anymore as it'll just sit there and do nothing, like the karmann ghia and Saab 900. All going on eBay in the new year.
