Built 2 of the insides. One to go.

If anyone asks why not drawers inside, you can see in the baskets easier, plus the wardrobe door closes over it, didn't see the point in having a covered door inside a door etc.

It's a bloody huge wardrobe though.

Similar idea I guess. Was going to wire the lights up but I've bought the wrong wiring kit so need to order them up.

Thats some seriously organised clothes going on there!

How long before you can't be arsed and just leave things on the floor like I do!

If Nic's bird is anything like I am (my missus is typical Scottish, doesn't give a crap) then he won't be leaving anything whatsoever on the floor

If it's on the floor it's going in the bin.

Same, aiming on having as much as possible tidied away. It's annoying me that there hasn't been much time to get the unpacking done due to working all week. There is stuff everywhere. Will get the wardrobe finished and attached to the wall this evening then that at least means quite a lot of stuff can be cleared away.

Looking good. Those IKEA wardrobes are brilliant.
Absolutely love ours, plus if things change and you want it different you can just change it around!

Yeah they do some good interior options and so simple to fit. B and q wanted 3 grand for a fitted wardrobe, sharps was over 5 grand. This was just under £700.

Next 2 furniture purchases need to be a hat/coat stand for the hall and also some sort of table/storage to put keys and post on for the hall. Any recommendations for the table/storage type?

Don't leave keys in the hallway. Tealeafs with various sticks, poles, and tools will have your keys be in the house rob you, bum you, and nick your cars...

A sideboard? Next home have some lovely bits of furniture which you can sometimes get a bargain on with ex display stuff.

Its worth looking on the Facebook groups and Gumtree, we've saved fortunes on furniture by buying higher quality stuff but second hand..

When we first moved into this house we got a John Lewis solid oak bedroom set (wardrobe, drawers, mirror, side tables etc.) for £300, the wardrobe alone was the best part of a £1,000 new..

Also if you've got a local Home Sense you can get some serious bargains there, our coffee table is an oak/stainless affair which was £300 but it was in Home Sense with the smallest 2mm dent that needed pointing out to us for £150.

Happened to a neighbour of ours, bamboo with a magnet on through the letterbox, got the keys, went inside had laptop nicked from kitchen, got the car keys and had his scooby, 530d and a freelander nicked. Always make sure mine are well away

Managed to pick up some right bargains in eBay and Gumtree last month as the stuff new from ikea was silly money, got a check of drawers and dressing table for about 65/70% cheaper, just be careful what you buy condition wise.

Lmao I call it something similar to be honest, mainly to put her off buying anything but in fairness it's not all that bad, quality of most of it is on par with B&Qs wall tat which is extortionate and next home etc .

I'm a big fan of contemporary styling so the less tat and shit on the walls the better... Although my summer house / man cave is full of tat and shit
