Personally i think curved screens are purely a marketing ploy like 3D and a complete waste of time. But unfortunately, a lot of the better looking panels/TVs are now curved
Be interesting to see what you think of the Sony; it's certainly not a bad TV by any means and the picture is pretty damn good from my play around with one.
had a good play with it today and it seems spot on. Picture is immense. The only 4K things I've watched are from YouTube however but it's so clear. The colour settings are good, it's not too vivid like a Samsung phone so that's nice, the big screen means big menus, and it's really easy to navigate. Quite like the extra touch pad remote. Considering the speakers are quite small they sound really good. Hell of a difference size wise to a 40" so it will take some getting used to. Played gta v on the ps4 this morning, was awesome being so big

Only annoyance I have now is more with the bt box as it won't display hd channels as it isn't on subscription anymore. The Sony tv does, but it doesn't record yet although that is due in an upgrade as it has 2 tuners in it so means I can ditch the bt box eventually.

Very good, very big tv

Should add the android part of it seems to work well, a lot faster and smoother than I was lead to believe from the Internet.

You should receive the Freeview HD channels? Have you done a rescan and made sure it's fully up-to-date?

Chances are it's had an update but i wasn't saying it was shit, just that the Samsung interface appeared (when i was using it a few months back) to be slightly quicker when navigating around. Saying that, Android TV is always going to be better than Samsung's Tizen OS due to the selection of apps available and the continuous updates/added features.

Only real issue with Android is that it doesn't support 23.976 fps (i don't doubt they'll update Android TV with the ability); whether or not you notice any micro judder caused by the frame rate conversion when using Android-based apps (Netflix, Youtube, Amazon, iPlayer etc; TV supports the framerate otherwise) is another matter though - tbh, the majority of people wouldn't.

It's an older bt box and it claims it needs s home hub 2 for hd freeview. Annoying. Have scanned again yeah, they work on the tv fine.

Beer can for size comparison.

Cool having a double oven. 2 items, 2 temperatures ready at the same time easily. Pies and potatoes and some veg for tea.

The novelty wears off when you realise one is a conventional oven (non fan) and uses so much electricity that you could have paid for a take away

They are only really any Good for keeping stuff warm or proving.

deal I got on the Sony was pretty good tbh. I've added kodi and a few of the add ons that my mx-q box had and it works better than that did so free movies it is. Need to add the sports devil for the free football next.

After nearly a week with it, I do like it a lot. It is a fuckin big tv though. Getting used to the size now.

First house glitch just discovered.

Tried to order a takeaway online. Fuckin post code doesn't exist yet for online stuff. The whole joys of Internet food orders was cutting out calling Chinese natives in the takeaway thus making ordering easier. Arse.
