I was disappointed when autoglass came to repair a chip in my windscreen.

All the adverts in the TV showed a damage free finish after the repair, when they did mine it looked exactly the same, albeit full of resin so it wouldnt crack anymore.

Watch them when they cut the old one out, can't see how they manage without scratching around the edge of the screen somewhere, will go rusty underneath the seal. By the time you notice it, you will need to cut metal out and weld bits in, tbh i'd sell the car now

Windscreen fitters are mostly absolute morons.

One bloke who did mine (I've had 3 new screens on this car) got that black Sealant all over my a pillar and didn't bother letting me know. It was dark when he'd left so I only.noticed the next time I drove the car on a sunny day with the roof down.

Retards.

Its a nice coincidence that your mate works for the same windscreen fitting company that your insurance company use?

Took it to a local BMW specialist, found out that the Vanos is buggered, not sure on the price yet, hoping it's not mega as the car isn't worth all that much.

Mostly because I commute on a road used by lorries full of aggregate/mud/general shit on their tyres and when they're doing 56mph, shit comes off fast

It's annoying, but nothing can really be done about it I guess.

I gave the audi a snow foam, full body iron-x, clay bard it to fuck, then got the DA out and did a heavy cut menzerna followed up with a super resin polish applied via DA and a light compound pad.

Then i vulcanet'd the entire car and came up gleaming.
