He is right though, HID basically means high intensity discharge, which is what Xenon (gas) bulbs are.

When people refer to HIDs they are usually associated with "re-based" bulbs. I.e standard halogen fitment bulbs like H1/H7 etc mated to an HID bulb so they fit. Xenon bulbs used properly are predominantly D2S fitment.

Its the other way around really..

HID is the correct term for modern long-arc tungsten bulbs.

Xenon is used by manufacturers to describe HID bulbs but Xenon bulbs are actually just incandesant or short-arc bulbs filled with Xenon gas.

How can he be right? He said Nic dosnt have HIDs, he has xenons. So what is fitted to the xenons if it isnt HID bulbs? Candles?
