My thoughts exactly. That is an abomination. Rest looks decent, but largely the same as last year obvs.

Are they in trouble? FI have stolen virtually all of the Mexican sponsors from Sauber from what they were saying. Didn't sound like they were in trouble.

They have said they would rather spend the time developing the car than testing it. As the engine etc is not so new there is only so much they can learn at the track as its not a track that is used for racing, the tyres they use are not the 2015 compound so it sounds like if everything is going great then go to it but otherwise your almost better off spending more time developing the car. The FI guy said he was surprised more cars were not skipping it!

Make of it what you will but it doesnt paint a good picture. With so little testing these days they need all the mileage they can get, there ALWAYS something you can learn, certainly more than just sat in the workshop. If you're not attending a test the reasons are almost always because you're not ready and in a panic.

Theres also rumours they would've attended the test if they could find some drivers who were willing to pay to get some experience but they couldnt, so decided to skip it.

Vijay certainly isnt in the best state right now

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/comment/11292117/Rainmaker-The-party-comes-to-an-end-for-Vijay-Mallya-Indias-King-of-the-Good-Times.html

All this along with "launching" a car that was essentially a 2014 car with a new nose says to me they're not in the best shape. I can see them having a season like Lotus' last year.

Absolutely love the red bull and finally, no chance of getting mixed up with the just as quick torro rosso.

They'll be reverting back to that awesome blue/purple come the start, pretty cool idea though to run the test camo. Like that.

So apparently Ferrari, Macca and Red Bull are hoping to run Lotus/Merc style short noses at the first GP bu they havent managed to be able to get them through the crash tests yet

Doesn't surprise me tbh. Didn't Mercedes have success with their one at the 7th or 8th crash test?

Not too bothered by Rosberg only being 3rd fastest.

Seems he completed 157 laps so i guess they used the session as a reliability test, rather than worrying about bragging rights for the quickest time.

Ferrari seemed to always do well in practice then fail miserably during the race so I don't think it means much. Kimi was pretty fast in Jerez last year IIRC
