Like I said, the haldex is pretty shit. On my old mk5 R32 It Used to nearly swap ends mid corner when pushing on. As soon as the front wheels had any sign of slipping the power would just cut off and the rears would kick in all of a sudden. I hated it. My old Evo never once done that no matter how hard it was pushed. I think the latest gen haldex is 10000x better tho.

The EVO has got YAW control, you'd have to be a complete tool to spin it.

Veyron uses Haldex btw, think there's a Veyron forum where they're blaming spinning on Haldex?

As far as I can read, the haldex system in the TT at elast (not sure which gen matches with which S3/R32) can transmit, at absolute most, 50% of torque to the rear wheels, so it can't really 'dump all the power' to the rear?

Love people trying to figure out a drivetrains capability by reading Internet articles and public road "testing"

I've not driven one so I'm completely going on what I've read on the internet.

However, your one track day and constant can't find out on the road etc is just as boring.

I'm not making statements on the effectiveness of haldex so unsure what my prior experience has to do with it.

You've made loads and loads of statements on the effectiveness of haldex, with nothing to base it on, including being terrible in the snow.

Fair do's, same with myself.

My internet based reading on the subject was mainly wondering how it could be dumping all the power to the rear, when at most it can send 50% of it, while the other 50% still powers the front wheels.

Everything you read or see on the Internet is total lies unless it has been proven on track by our resident track day queen Steve

Taking 50% from the fronts and whacking it to the rears, regardles of how they are gripping can un settle a car - you say your views are changed and that internet myths be believed - but then make comments based on a car you have never driven based on internet facts lol

I've not said it's fact at any point. Looks like I'll never find out the real answer unless I take an R32 on an empty racetrack.

Pretty sure it'll never shift 50% of the power to the rear unless it's an aftermarket haldex, iirc the most it will send is 25%.

I have nothing bad to say about it anyway after owing three haldex'd cars.
