So officially VW are to launch the Golf R Estate - whats everyones thoughts?

http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/volkswagen/golf/89093/vw-golf-r-estate-spotted-undisguised

I think it looks good and the boot space on the hatch is awful so estate will bring much more room

I saw some young lads hanging about on a corner in harlow and one of them had a brand new golf R, they were dressed in trackie bottoms, caps etc

Couldn't believe it tbh.

They were knocking them out on a 2yr lease for £200 p/m recently, regardless of how you feel about leasing that's incredibly cheap.

As tempting as that is, I don't think I could stomach the 2.3k initial payment!

Most i've ever paid as deposit (initial payment) on a brand new motor is £250.

Very good deals on these but the annual mileage isn't that great.

You can get deals for as many miles as you want usually up to 30k pa. This will be a 2nd car so I just took the minimum and if I go over its only 6ppm. So another 1000 miles will be £60, not really a problem.

doesn't matter unless you plan on giving it back to them

Normally to sell the car on and pay off the outstanding finance
