I seem to be getting through them like no tomorrow! Obviously, you get what you pay for and I've got one genuine lead for my head unit and two cheap 3m ones in living room and bedroom. Problem is they don't last 2 minutes. Can anyone else recommend some non-genuine leads that seem to last a bit longer?

Same problem here, as soon as I buy a lead it breaks, even the genuine ones are no good.

I have bought braided ones and have had no problems at all. They are very strong compared to the cheap shite 99p ones you get off ebay etc

Sounds like you're pulling them out by the wire rather than at the plastic connector to me. Never had a single lead break personally.

I use a Chinese cheap one in the office and always pull it out by the cable, it's lasted great.

Theres a fix isn't there? Something about a spring over the cable, up at the connector end.

They all seem to be shit though. Should've bought an android phone.

Naa what I'm doing is picking it up by the lead and swinging it around my head until the phone detaches. Can't understand what's going wrong...

I heard that saves you electricity by doing that. Acts as a wind turbine.

Get a micro USB to lightning adaptor. Girlfriend has one for my house, as I refuse to by loads of iPhone cables, which I don't need. None of my micro USB cables have broken in years.

Sell them in Poundland and the like, not sure of cable length. CEX believed mine was Apple.

On my third genuine one, they're £15-20 each too, pretty shit really! Might buy a load of £1 ones instead.

Just received some of those today and they don't work.

Once plugged in the phone just constantly vibrates as if the charger is turned on/off every half second.

Does yours show as disconnecting/reconnecting when you move charging wire while plugged in? Can barley sync mine unless I don't touch it because it keeps disconnecting
