This. Realistically, worth about £7m not £27m

We should make enough at present for it not to be a problem even if FFP did apply

Should have thrown that cash at Agnelli's feet and told Vidal to pack his bags though. His stock will only go higher at the WC.

As we've both mentioned in at least one previous transfer window - Vidal is the man United need. Absolute unit.

Still the third richest team on earth behind the Spanish heavyweights so I agree.
Aye, Vidal is someone we've both mentioned a few times He just gets better and better. The closest player physically to Roy Keane in the world? I think so. Tenacious as they come.

Whats your opinion robbo, on the fact that the odds for united finishing in the top 4 next season are shorter than arsenals?

Which makes the fact they're shorter still after this years fails all the more striking

No, it was just to shut Steve up and move onto another subject. However, embarrassing your local rivals is a key part of being a football supporter.

But you come out with it every season

So far this season you've both won exactly the same

(I know the fa cup is probably yours, but not yet)

but that's the thing, we could both finish in the bottom 3 so long as we finished above them - that's what a rivalry is all about. Admittedly its worse for me as I live in London so am subjected to a lot of spuds fans etc. but still, rivalry is what makes football, not necy trophies and success - just purely beating your rivals.

Wonder if united will now have to compensate players by offering bigger wages for the fact they are not able to offer CL football next season.

They're probably hoping he's the new Bale and to sell him on to Real in a few years for double the price

in my opinion, left back is one of the most important positions, and it's hard to get a good one. considering he has 3+ years on his contract, and its Man Utd (and teams know they can rinse big clubs for more money) io think the price is about right. Similarly to chelsea and city, (but less so) 27m to them isnt the same as 27m to everyone else

"Chelsea agree £32m fee with Atletico Madrid for Diego Costa" - SSN Sources. Bargain if it's that much and if Cavani is gonna cost £50m
