Yes

Netflix was the only thing mentioned that I could see this does over the NowTV box. I use the NowTV box, and it's brilliant, do like the Plex interface too

Oh, also, the interface, using a mobile etc, having it hidden behind the TV seems an advantage.

What else have you guys used it for? I am selling my PI to fund this ha

Its ok for £30, the best feature so far is youtube and you can queue up more videos on your smart phone, I don't use Netflix so thats out the window. Hopefully more applications to come.

Those are only official apps Willay,

Can get loads of apps on the android store.

I would personally get LocalCast combined with an app called "Showbox"

Basically every movie and TV show ever made straight to your TV !

Could quite possibly be too late by the time people read it, but CHEAP!

Would be nice if I didn't completely fudge the link

That is a tempting price. Is there anything I can do on that, that can't be done by copying stuff on to my USB stick and chucking in the PS3?

"Cast" from your mobile?

I haven't bought one myself as I've got a nowTV box and don't really have any need to put my phones screen on the TV. The Plex on that does all I need. Both for £18 it seems pretty good if you haven't got anything already

Yeah looked into it more and I have iPlayer, YouTube etc. on the PS3 so no point really but at that price might have to buy it as a present for someone!

Would this allow the playback of movies to be played through VLC player and sent to the dongle to play on the tv, or is it from chrome/youtube etc

I don't think so, it's only specific apps that work. I was hoping to use TVCatchup, that would've been amazing! But it's a no go.

If you have an android device of some sort then simply download Localcast and it scans your device for movies and music etc and plays them through chromecast.

You could play TVCatchup and then mirror the screen?! I was playing a pool game last night and mirroring it to my TV ha
