Knowing nothing about my App what would you say it does from this icon?



Also, would anybody be willing to make it look less like it was done by a 2 year old? ie. get the checkmark properly centred and of the proper proportions (ie. the flick at the bottom is thinner than the body) and the coloured bands evenly spaced and lined up with the checkmark? I can provide the PSD of what I've done so far but it's a bit of a mess as I'm useless when it comes to PS?

Is there a way get get a grid on PS so you can line stuff up?

Yeah seems to be a trend at the moment so thought I'd go along with it, that and its a good (or at least I thought) representation of what the app does.

I just needed to do something to show I can work with REST apis so it's just a simple eBay app that allows you to search completed listings, kind of like an eBay price checker. I know the official app already let's you do this.

My thoughts too, I tried taking away the block and simplifying the gavel but you couldn't tell what it was, looked more like a rattle.

They suggest a completely different type of app from the first versions.

I get some sort of countdown or timing app. I'm not sure if it's ebay related or not, but unless I already had that in my head from reading it here, I wouldn't have associated it.

I like the simplicity of the first one, I think all the previous ones look OK but as soon as they're on the homescreen with all the iOS7 icons they look out of place.

Not sure I'll ever capture the intention of the app whilst maintaining simplicity (without paying someone ) ...

It's the ebay green/yellow, the red and blue look too stark.
