Thought id start doing a post on corsa I'm currently building,

Iv done a few convertions but this one is a project so I want it as mint as I can get it.
I bought the rolling shell for 400 delivered, some of the work has been done but not finished when I bought it, all under car has been cleaned up and treated, had no interior at all inside.

Bought the engine for £150 from a x reg vectra ri estate
Started stripping down for rebuild

Looking good mate, can't wait to see this unfold...XEV club for the win if you need any help, parts ect dave or i would be the people to ask as we seem to be pritty much the only two to like and the xev engine on here. Can't see why everyone slates them, way cheaper then the c20xe and can be tunned to good power.

keep up the good work! x20xev's are so under rated.
if you need any help give me a shout.
ive only ever seen 1 other x20xev'd corsa b. seen a nova with 1. spoke to loads of people at shows about doing this conversion but most people are like sheep and want to do what everyone before has done. its very popular swap in other countries in europe.

yh i love the x20xevs, i did one on a corsa b a little while ago as a quick conversion and i loved it, did the normal cambelt kit and rocker seals no major internal work and id beat most redtop corsas around my area. even had a go with a 189bhp redtop corsa had all the cams and 4 branch etc etc and i sat on his arse all the way down our local bypass for like a mile lol
this was it

i dont want to see any wires in the bay if i can help it so doing what i can to hide them so started off by extending front light loom so i can run the loom down inner of pas wing instead of on show in bay

being extended

wires everywhere! lol

looking good
if you use the mtec short shifter kit for f18/f20 box with the selector links from a corsas f13 theres no need to grind the block.
suprising how nippy these conversions are.

its coming along good!
when you fit the phenolic gasket be sure to match it to your port sizes as they can be restrictive.
going to be a very clean car when its done. will it be ready for PVS 2013?
