Essentially they scan torrent networks and make note of the IP's of sharing users; the site displays files you've potentially downloaded. Kinda of interesting

It checks your current IP address against their database and lists downloads they've detected on the torrent network(s) using that IP. Obviously it doesn't necessarily mean you have downloaded the file(s) as you're likely to have a dynamic IP.

Seem to be getting some interesting results from other forums

It basically shows known records of your IP from use of public trackers.

If you use public sites such as pirate bay, you can expect shit like this.

What is the best way to download shit nowadays, used to use rapidshare for years, loved it, nice and easy. Since they got bummed, I jump from torrents to html dl links

well thats my IP address and none of its me. but seeing as our isp doesnt even bother to block the piratebay i doubt they'd cooperate with anyone who wanted to sue an individual

^^ I think he might mean what's a safer way, since every man and his dog use torrents nowadays people are going to start getting busted soon.

I use Peerblock but not sure if that will stop people getting the information if want it.

Torrent over SSL VPN; can pick up an anonymous VPN for around £4/6pm.
Otherwise Usenet/newsgroups but they're getting hit hard and decent indexing sites (binsearch/nzbrus are ok) are limited unless you want to roll your own with newznab etc.
