What a slag!

I made her write a list, useless at buying from the "dropped hints". Got her probably the cheapest thing Tiffany sell

I bought the missus an Antique welsh dresser

I've learnt over the years; if you buy them something they 'like/collect' it just gets immersed into the collection.

Buy them something that can show off their like/collection works better

I'm not really like that tho am I? People ask in a presents thread so I post a pic, then we get Jules telling me I'm a bad parent, shit like that. I'd be quite content not posting at all. If people would like to see however, it would likely be Christmas eve when it's all set out ready for morning. Expensive haul this year really since she's got an iPad mini too

Going of my limited experiance on the subject as im a new member

I think the opposite, you are a good parent for wanting to give your daughter everything you can, if you can afford it and she appreciates stuff then why the fuck not. Id like pics please.

In reality, it probably could be toned down slightly, it is a little OTT, but the mrs likes to spoil her at Christmas because it was something that her folks couldn't do for her.

Izzy's a well rounded child who's very well behaved, very intelligent, top sets for everything, top grades, above the current anticipated level for her age and constantly praised by teachers verbally and with award/merits at school.

I'm all for teaching kids lessons and sending them down the right path and I do, but I'm also for embracing youth and knowing they're only young once. Christmas is for kids and what could make a kid more happy than coming downstairs to a shitload of presents because she's been good all year? Christmas day is epic in our house and she'll have fond memories of that when she's older.

Long and short of it, yes seemingly on the surface she's spoilt a little at Christmas, but if you knew Izzy, you'd know we're doing something right. She's no Veruca Salt and I don't stand for shit.

Anyway, I'll take pics when the time comes, don't worry
