£70 limit between us.

Annoys me when couples have to desperatly try and buy eachother, and to Bragg about it on Internet.

agreed. Setting a limit challenges the imagination rather than just spending shit loads on stuff.

I never said you were a bad parent you muppet.....I simply commented you were spoiling your daughter and it would/will be difficult to stop doing the same without ramping the presents year on year..

Seems you agree with me 3 and 4 years on

Not really, Daimo. Don't misinterpret me saying it's an expensive haul as a complaint, just saying (you don't really know how it's financed anyway). It'd be the same when she turns 17 and wants a car or the year after when she wants a caravan to tow on the back of it Just a case of priorities really. I spend a lot on my daughter so she wants for nothing, you spend your money on antiques and expensive watches because you're conscious of how people interpret your wealth.

Yes it could be toned down slightly, I've acknowledged that, but if I can then why not, I don't spend my money on anything else. It won't continue on this path anyway as logically as she gets older the number of toys will decrease and maybe the number of clothes or something else will increase, it all balances out. IIRC you don't have any kids anyway, so when you do and are actually qualified to come and comment then please do, otherwise you're just talking to a brick wall 3 and 4 years on

Anyway, at the risk of sounding too bothered by what you say by writing an essay, I'll leave it there until next year
