ok ill tell all the wheel refurb places how to do there job as someone on the internet has told me , dont know how thick you think the powdercoat is to throw the offset out , but its not very thick on the back as we had to scratch it of to get it to fit on the hub

Mark can be an idiot at times but he's right, I get mine to put a bit of masking tape where the bolts sit too otherwise when the wheels get hot the bolts will come loose

All the ones I have done arn't as the should use some foil to stop the "powder coating" sticking to them area's (hub face, Centre bore), they also use ball bearing where the bolts go as it stops the paint cracking when removing and installing wheel bolts...

Nothing major to scratch it off tho... just hassle

I found that with the re-furbed wheels on my old DC2, they kept coming loose till, I got rid of the paint on the taper bits, that the wheel nuts sit on.

Copper grease hub face and inside lip (where a spigot ring usually sits)

While the wheel still has heat in it, peel it off (Stanley blade works best)

I would be worried if you could just scratch it off.
