Click firmware then search 9300 and its the 7th one down 'United Kingdom' I9300XXELLA.

Yes, couldn't be easier.

Just found out you can choose/rearrange the notification toggles too, pretty handy.

Did you look at the guide? Download Odin using the link, put your phone in download mode, plug in, select the firmware in Odin and press start.

There's a update on kies but it just loads a blank grey box when I go to update. Any ideas how to get it working?

Yeah , settings, about phone but nothing there about upgrade.

I've even been on you tube to make sure I wad right and nothing on that screen
