What are the chances of losing a bit of weight and then toning up without the use of a gym?

Obviously can go jogging, cycling, swimming etc for the weight loss.

But what about the toning other then pressups, squats, dumbells.

Not much else is there?

Btw I am about 5 ft 11, 19 years old and weight about 11 and a half stone.

Can anyone reccomend some stuff I should eat as well for a diet?

I work at McDonalds so may just bring in my own salad instead of eating there shit.

Go out and pound the streets.

Costs nothing and is better for you than running on a machine indoors.

running, bike, swimming as said

get a set of weights (good but annoying at the same time as constantly having to swap weights), but can also use places like those monkey bar things in kids parks to do pull ups etc used to that when i went for jogs

food wise, chicken, scrambled egg, brown bread, whole grain rice etc.

My slobbish mate has clearly being working out at home. For years he is the only one of us that has not gone to the gym or done any exercise come to think of it. I hadn't seen him for a few months and he looked a lot thinner in the face and his arms and shoulders were bigger. I went round the other week and he answered the door all sweaty and got defencive when I asked why he was all sweaty! He also had a jack potato stuff with tuna on plate and a tub of protein powder in his kitchen! He may be on something, but don't know how to bring up the subject of him looking different! Disgustingly he is wearing tight fitting tops too

Clearly working for him, but we can't understand the secrecy!

Theres hundreds of work out options for at home.

I dont go to a gym and use free weights and a cross trainer.

Using free weights is one of the best work outs you can do. It not only works the muscle that you are working on but also hits your core very good, your back and abs too.

Ive put on enough weight and muscle in 3/4 months that mates i haven't seen for a few months are sure that im on the roids.

Can you ride a moto X? I had a Yz 250. I was out on it most days during summer and weekends during winter. This was my exercise for years. You use alot of muscles from your waist up.

Atm I have literally cut down on what I am eating, no chocolate and no fizzy.

had Tuna and sweetcorn pasta yesterday for both lunch and dinner with some light mayonnaise and just had cereal and a bannana so far today.

Is there anything else to drink which is healthy other then water? Not really keen on the taste of it but sure I can handle it xD

COuple of questions:

What things other then water are a good thing to drink.

If I wanted to bulk up a little bit am I better off staying how I am and then turning the fat into muscle by working out or am I better off slimming down a little bit, working out, lifting weights etc to get my body a little bit ripped and defined and then start eating the proteins and lifting weights etc

get some robinson's fruit juice. makes the water taste nice without loads of sugar.

tbh though, i like drinking water on it's own, but i know a lot of people don't like it.

So does anyone know about the bulking up bit?

I imagine I am better off just going straight to weights etc to gain the muscle.

Just want to flatten the stomach a little bit and then gain some muscle there and on my biceps and triceps.

I think I am slim enough tbh to be able to gain the muscle without having to slim down too much.

you'll need single digit body fat for your abs to show through, and if your just working on your biceps and triceps may i recommend some chinos and boat shoes to attend the gym with.

Haha don't really want to have to pay out for the gym but may just go ahead and do it anyway, don't really mind if the abs don't show through just want to cut the fat a little bit and get the arms showing a little more as they are quite small and so are my wrists lol

What makes your arms look big from front and back tho is training back and getting big lats. And from the side it will look silly without a chest. You need to do whole upper body to be in proportion or you will look really silly.

And then youll need to do your legs so you dont look stupid.

Love doing legs, and because no one does them the machines are always available.
