Got a tad bored over the weekend so thought I'd strip and repaint my engine block.

I gave it a good few coats of nitromores, the new formula they use in it is dog shite, didn't strip it much at all so it was a wire wheel and elbow grease!!

Then gave it a good degrease..

Removed old core caps, some of which were an absolute mare to get out!!

Then put bolts in all the threads as to not block them up with paint..

Then gave it 5 coats of hammerite smooth black, came up really good!!

I ordered some new core plugs on Monday which arrived today, got them fitted when I got home from wrk, here you have one fresh block

Also went to sbd yesterday to return my damaged throttle position sensor, when I removed the engine and loom I noticed it was damaged, seeing as it was £120 and iv hardly driven the car, I took it back, they're gonna send it back to penny and giles and hopefully give me a new one..whilst I was there I picked up a dry sump blanking kit..

Very expensive for what they are tbh but need them. It's a blank for oil cap, the 2 small breathers at the back of cam cover and one on the front to dipstick tube and a dipstick blank.

And the wonderful mrs got me this, the new hero3 and roll cage mount, can't wait to use it!

Car should be going in for paint and finish cage by the end of next week, fingers crossed.

Few new bits turnt up this week..

Decided on a new pedal box as the last one was quite simply shite and wasn't functioning properly, just got the bare box assembly from compbrake..

To go with some wilwood master cylinders as heard the ones supplied with c/brakes are crap.

0.625 front and 0.7 rear

And some new reservoirs

Also got some solid engine mounts.

Have also dropped a few bits to the powder coaters, which il be collecting on Monday

Big thanks to possy for sorting the compbrake bits! Nice one geez

So went and met up with Mr Milton earlier, took him my block to get measured up and good news, all is good with that!! Picked up some more goodies for the build as well..

Arp head stud kit and mahle main and end bearings

And pace dry sump kit..

Still got a fair bit to buy tbf but the big stuff is done, bar the head, which is in Steves hands so hopefully shouldn't be long now
