Reading the Stieg Larsson trio -
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Girl who Played with Fire and The Girl who kicked the Hornets Nest.
Read them back to back, and can't put it down. Got Kindle app on my Smartphone, and sit at lunch / sofa / bed reading every day.

I'm really struggling with War & Peace!  70 pages in of 994 Print is really small. So far there has been a lot of dinner parties and philosophizing. Main charactor Pierre is a bit of a lad, and his antics have been quite funny so far. He is the bastard son of a count and stands to inherit his fortune. The only reason I am reading it is because Amazon sent me an email saying it was £1.99! That and its probably a book that should be read as some point in your life. I just don't know when/if I will finish it!
Started reading Fahrenherit 451 too. Anyone that likes distopia/post apocayliptic worlds I would recommend it. Well ahead of its time considering it was written in the 50's.

This was posted a while ago however my memory is a little fuzzy so here goes...
Can't remember the plot think it was along the lines of a team in south america bought an English player who couldn't actually play for the purpose that the crowd would hate them and start riots....

There's a book called "The Real Bravo Two Zero" by Michael Asher. It tells what is supposed to be the real story of what happened, as there is widespread belief that McNab and Ryan etc dramatised it alot! Asher goes back out to Iraq and speaks to locals etc. Well worth a read!
Also "Soldier Five" by Mike Coburn one of the Bravo Two Zero guys.
Sabre Squadron by Cameron Spence
"Tornado Down" by John Peters and John Nicol (not sure if you are old enough to remember that event?)
"Fire Strike 7/9" by Paul Bomber Grahame
"Born Fearless" by Big Phil Campion
"Immediate Action" by Andy McNab (story of his early army career and getting into SAS)

Bit of a SF geek so here goes...
The Forever War - Joe Haldeman. Awesome book, Ridley Scott is apparently going to do the film and hopefully won't murder it. Bit of war, time dilation, authors view of the vietnam war.
Starship Troopers - Robert Heinlein. Much better than the film.
Then pretty much every highly rated book from the SF masterworks - Inverted World (Author of The Prestige) and authors like Phillip K Dick, Arthur C Clarke, Poul Anderson etc.
I'm reading the Culture series by Iain M. Banks right now and they're a bit 'intelligent' i.e. hard work following IMO.

Ben, I'm not sure I can read yet another version of the same story lmao, maybe one day
I've read immediate action before and I've just read seven troop too which is more of his stories. Im Currently on soldier I by andy mcnabs mate "snapper", it's brilliant. Especially as he wrote it to straighten himself out after being committed :/

You cant just read The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo - you have to read the second and third. i read all 3 back to back in a fortnight. Brilliant books, although a bit of perseverence is required through the second.

Tbh "The Real BTZ" is not like reading the story again from what I can remember.
Might have to get that Soldier I. Not read that.

It's pretty good, he was in some real defining moments for the SAS, the battle of mirbat, the Iranian embassy siege etc.

Every cunt and their dog is reading Fifty Shades of Grey, it has outsold Harry Potter for paperback sales  The missus has it, the bosses wife has it, 4 of the girls in work are reading it, my FB and twitter is full of birds reading it and I drove home from work yesterday and there were 2 women sitting in a bus stop reading the fucking thing

Kindle app on your smartphone - I havent used my Kindle in months - no backlight, so no good in bed when the mrs wants to sleep.
I read for hours on my phone - its shorter pages, but with the right size text and black background and white text, its easy to read in the dark!
