Hi all earths have been checked, the ign live wire is connected, I'm getting volts in the footwell and the purple relay clicks, ecu power up?? Ive got ign lights on clocks but no ecu light, they dim when i try to crank but it wont even crank!! It's as if no power is getting to the starter moter I'm puzzled because its so close to going on the road!! I'm in Wiltshire if any 1 is close!!

Id say try bump starting it and see if it runs then. Might just be your batterys fudged.

either battery is fudged or an earth is dodgy or missing.

only reason why it would dim.

Oh and how come the purple fuel relay is clicking? standard gsi/sport relay is purple iirc, a c20xe is black and bigger

The car is on blocks at the mo. The battery could be knackered, i will put a jump pack on in the morning and try but it's doing my head in!! I meant the purple relay by the glove box is clicking, the fuel pump relay is black by the 9 pin plug in the footwell, just doesn't seem to be getting any power to starter motor or fuel pump???

Nt 100percent certain on this but purple relay undr glovebox is fuel pump relay on 1.0 and 1.2 16v a always thought relays in sports were in drivers side cud be completely wrong in that point but going on that theory if its a sport shel you shud have the xe relay clicking and not original corsa 1 as in 1.0 etc u cancel out the 1under glovebox but you dnt need to touch anythng over that side on sport shells wel ive never in al the 1s ive converted Go to search and type in c20xe into 1.2 16v help as im on my fone and you wil c what i mean with relay under glove box

There's an earth to battery try from gearbox, 1 from battery negative lead and the 3 on the fuel rail, I haven't checked starter motor yet...and all wires are connected in footwell correct, well what all the conversion guides say!! I might sound thick but how do you check if the earth is good or not??

plus the earth wire off the front of your gearbox. I say wire its like a ribbon that comes off the front of your gearbox. Has to be attached. Jamie c had the same problem of it not starting just down to that one earth
