i was thinkin of savin up around £500 for a manifold, is that ok for a decent manifold?
And also, is it simple enough for me to buy it, and take it to a garage and they'll put it in? i.e dont need anything else done?

Any help is great,

All depends on engine as said.

Garage could put it on, but if ur handy with a spanner you could do it urself. You get all the parts needed anyway.

8v, no point, just get twin carbs or throttle bodies.

16v,
Mantzel, great power gains, need to rev the nuts off the car to get the best power though.
Velos, dunno, but Ed Renshaw has one and he seems to got a good power gain from it. Again around 20bhp.
Lexmaul, power is more mid range, only gain around 10-15bhp. Plus it follows the standard air inlet route so can't see the point in it.

Deffo worth investigating Velos or Mantzel though.

I thought exhaust for sum reason, inlet aint worth it as daimo said get carbs.

exhaust is still worth it although they're still prices....

Twin 40's.

Best place for this information is Migweb. Lots more Nova boys with the same engine running Carbs on the 1.4 8v motor.

Fook twin 40's if its an every day car!

You can get fairly good power out of these engine with the injection, and good fuel economy.

Get a panel filter, 4-2-1 exhaust manifold and it should go better. Maybe even a bit of headwork.

A B+ head would work a treat

twin 40's eat the petrol. you usually need to get them set up every other week to, costing you an arm, and maybe a leg if you got skinny arms (being corsa drivers Id imagine you have)

I assume your going to buy a full system as well as the manifold. I had a good increase in performance when I stuck a manifold n system on my 1.4 8v

i was thinking of saving up some money (im not far off), and getting a 4-2-1 zorst manifold, and then going and getting the full system.
What sort of prices are the manifolds? obviously im after a larger power gain, without spending over board, somewhere between £300-£550 i guess

Get rid of the daft induction kit and stick the original filter box in. Get a K&N panel filter and drill the bottom of the box. You will get MUCH better performance. There is a thread in the tutorials section on how to drill the airbox properly. The 8v engines dont take kindly to the induction kits of today.

I did it on my old 1.2 Corsa and it worked a treat. Really gave a nice throaty engine note at high revs. Still Slow as Fuck but at least it tried.
