F1 channel and SS1 are both listed, feeds seem ok although i do have a little 'stuttering' once in a while but so far this is the best live solution i've found with stumping up cash.

Just grabbed this, none of the channels I've tried open up though - VLC opens fine but no feed. Strange.

EDIT: Seems a lot of the channels are just down, got a couple that are working now.

Hustler HD

EDIT2: Sky Sports / Movies and a few other () HD channels are streaming fine now - no buffering or artifacts. Well impressed with this!

Less of a race, more of cars following each other around as it's near impossible to overtake

How much did the ticket(s) cost you? I'd imagine it's probably the most expensive race on the calendar judging by the turn out every year.

£300 each for the main race on Massenet Corner, grandstand a or b I can't remember, and £35 for the Saturday on the side of the hill looking down, paid to a friends uncle, who lives there. There supposed to be a bit more.

Flight into Nice was about £200, and getting picked up, free accommodation too.

Edit: It is grandstand B.

My friend who works for Sky Sports is at the Top Gear test track place this morning 'working' I have been inundated with photos of McLarens, Lewis Hamilton and texts telling me he (my mate) just got to drive a Skoda round the Top Gear track. I hate him right now.

That's Windows only but it's only a frontend to RTMPDump (command line tool to grab flash streams) which you can get on OSX (Have a look HERE or Google 'rtmpdump osx'). You'll also need VLC for the media player which is available for OSX.

So yeah it's probably doable, just means you'll have to use terminal rather than a GUI frontend.

Edit - This is the windows command (for SS1) -
quote:
rtmpdump -r rtmp://46.105.109.158/channel1 -W http://www.livesporton.net/player2.swf -p http://www.liveonlinefooty.com/ -y lovschan1 | "C:\Program Files (x86)\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe" -

Under OSX it'll probably be something like -
quote:
rtmpdump -r rtmp://46.105.109.158/channel1 -W http://www.livesporton.net/player2.swf -p http://www.liveonlinefooty.com/ -y lovschan1 | "/users/home/applications/VLC/vlc.app" -

The VLC path will be wrong but i'm sure you can work that one out (the pipe causes rtmpdump to fire the stream to VLC) and obviously make sure the current directory under terminal is set to the directory of rtmpdump.

Edit 2 - Looks like you need to compile rtmpdump from the source; no that difficult as there are a few guides on Google.

It's total earnings, so it includes sponsorship etc rather than pay from McLaren. But Hamilton will be on more from McLaren being the number one.

His contract renewal is due up after this season so that may change from a McLaren point of view, sponsorship wise though Hamilton will always be at least twice as marketable as Button. Let's face it, he's a bit dull isn't he

Not legally; go back a page and look at rtmpgui for SS1/SSF1 stream.

Had a go at trying to get rtmpdump, the essential bit, working on 10.6.6 and i couldn't. Version 2.3 (from here) appeared to work but kept returning 'StreamNotFound' errors even though the stream worked fine under Windows and the v2.4 (from here) package give's me library errors. Did also attempt to build 2.4 from source code under OSX but that failed as well.

If you can get the 2.4 build package, from the link above, working then i think you'll be good to go. Failing that virtualbox Windows and stream it that way

Yeah my bad, missed the bit about having Sky HD. As said SSF1 will be part of the Sky's HD package.

JJ - just virtualbox Windows, problem solved Or borrow someone's Sky Go pass.
