ssssshhhhhh, these are winter.. ALLOYS
I can cope with the Dunlop tyres that are on and at over £100 a corner, too good not to use. If the weathers that bad.. the car won't come out

I did slip out last night to the wife that they could be track day wheels.. or the 19s could be..... she hit the roof!!!!

I thought about masking up... but wanted to make sure it didn't look amateurish, as taping up the valve might not be easy, then spraying round it might cause over spray etc. Also I wanted to spray just slightly around the lip/rim. Being green I thought it might show up, if I'd have done a dark colour like satin Black maybe I could have got away with taping it all.

Saying that, the alloy and tyre are heavy to lug about, the alloy on its own make it easy to turn and handle.

and it was fairly pointless using etch primer, should have just keyed up the wheels when they were silver and sprayed the green straight on.

Its quite expensive for a DIY job but your obviously happy so thats cool

the primer made a good surface to work onto, it made it all even and the same colour.. grey

60mm Centre caps arrived yesterday and the 60mm STI trims arrived today.
I've had to cut a bit off the back of the centre cap to make it go in easier.. but they do fit

well chuffed.

I love the Prodrive GT2 19"s too, but the STi 17"s in Green will be different for the winter

snow.. the car won't go out in snow.. lol

Centre caps now sorted...I had to do a bit of trimming down on the rear of them (you can see from the pic) as it originally was a bit deep to the back, now cut/trimmed the caps fit nicely into the recess that is the centre cap area (how good are Draper - hobby craft cutting wheels & sanding discs!!) .

Before applying the STi sticker to the plastic cap I made sure it was decreased with some brake cleaner .. as that's all I had to hand I also warmed the sticker up in the palm of my hand so it went soft making it easy to fit/stick into place on the cap. I'll leave them in the house a few days... so the sticky on the back of the sticker can set up and bond to the centre cap face.

19"s have come off and the 17" Signal Greens are now ON!!!

The look tiny compared to the Prodrive 19" GT2's that have just been taken off. They do make the STi brakes look even bigger now though lol

These will be my winter alloys till about March 2012.

funny thing is the overall height of the wheel is still the same as the over all height of the 19"

it must be more an optical illusion.

glad you like them though.. it was a leap of faith doing them this colour

that actually looks good. they aren't that small for the arches really as the tyres help bridge the gap.
