i currently have a double sized bed with a sprung mattress but have been having shit sleeps due to back pain and not enough space in the bed with both of us in it (the other half likes to spread out).

been looking at king size beds with memory foam mattresses but are they really better than normal sprung ones?

when i've tried them in store, they feel really hard which i know is better for your back but we both have to like it.

anyone have any prolonged experience with them?

You could have a quadruple king sized bed, the missus will still find a way to intrude on your side.

Fucking women.

This.

Memory foam much better than sprung imo, had one for years, got a king to replace it on my new bed.

Get whatever one you like and make her sleep in the spare room.

how thick is your mattress john? theres a few on ebay that range in thickness from 8-12''. guessing the thicker the better? but also more expensive.

Get one with a layer of memory foam on each side and different foam in the middle. The cheap all memory foam ones are too soft and a bit crap.

One I have just now is a fancy Nhs one hammer got me, new one is a silentnight one from costco, if there's a costco near you I'd take a look at that.

John can piss the bed, wipe clean with a mild detergent and then piss the bed some more.

They've got money off them quite regularly, think I got my king for about 200 odd quid.

You'd rather have an older version that didn't do the job quite as well?

Ideally go for a pocket sprung memory foam mattress like a Relyon; not cheap but mine has been spot on for the last 6 years.

Do you think the memory matress is going to remind your GF when shes on your side?

Double beds are shit for two people. Kingsize for one person ftw.
