i've got a KnN 57i getting delivered 2moz, i was just wondering whether there'll be a big noticable difference in sound. i've just taking me filter out the casing n it is a bit louder but not much. Will a KnN be louder? oh n its only a 1.28v cheers

I like to ding mine I got a 57i too, sounded alot better once I disconnect the batter ova night to let the ecu reset.
ummm i got a magnex too and it kinda out drowns the k&n
still it'll have a nice induction note when u press da peddle

du know if it'll be louder than when i just took me panel filter out? i hope so!

it will be louder because it sucks in more air, also remember to add a cold air feed if it does not come with one, as they need cold air to run well, otherwise they wont add any performance and they will make the standard airbox seem like a turbo...lol

no mate cos the same amount of fuel is injected into the cylinder so no more fuel is burnt. just more air is taken in so the engine breathes more easily. i have abfo cone and fuel comsumption is exactly thesame. you may howeevr use more fuel as you are more tempted to put ur foot down all the time to here the roar. but for the same style of driving the fuel comsumption will not change

You'll use more fuel when you get one tho cos you'll be more accelerator happy

it doesnt on mine. fair comment to say they sound better on 16v but they sound good on 8v and the mith about they dont work well on the 1.2 8v is bollocks

i have a bfo cone on my 1.2 8v and it sounds really good. gives a nice roar when u open the throttle

More fuel will be burnt, thats the idea. The ecu sees more air being drawn in so adds more fuel.
