People have a such a chip on their shoulder about iPhones that you don't get with any other phone. I don't go round saying oh look how crap a HTC is because of this that and the other. Mainly because I really don't care

Maybe it's just the way some people make themselves feel better about the fact that they couldn't afford an iPhone.

I don't hate iPhones. I hate the shite that Apple spout about these great new features that everyone bums.

I had that like 5 years ago on my Nokia. and i wasn't restricted to sitting at home to do it.

Yes, they are good phones, but no where near as good as Apple make them out to be, and once people have forked out hundreds of pounds or paying £50 a month for 2 years to own one, they think they are the be all and end all.

I think Jobs actually said they were late in the game implementing it when the iPhone 4 was launched, but that they implement it best and it took them a while to figure it out. I'm not going to say who's best because quite frankly I couldn't give a shit. But if you have an Android phone you might find that it crashes fairly easily if you open up a load of apps at the same time because it offers 'true' multitasking, which is why this app exists: http://www.androidtapp.com/advanced-task-killer/ The iPhone doesn't offer true multi-tasking, it does task switching where the app is saved in it's current state onto the phones SSD out of memory meaning you can have as many apps 'open' as you like at the same time saving resources and battery. Don't know anything about any other implementations.
