performance hasnt moved on in certain models i.e. ep3 ctr.it has pretty much the same straight line performance as an old 90's hot hatch,so no they are not fast at all.

you keep saying 'fan boys'! Your the one who said a ctr is not a hot hatch ffs, so it is you who knows absolutley 100% fuck all.

your a complete retard, how can you call it a modern performance car when it has pretty much the same straight line performace as a 90's hot hatch?

exactly craig, what most people have not read is i have admitted a type r and st are better cars but people dont seem to be able to accept an xe corsa is as quick in a straight line...

like i said to anyone come to mine we'll take my xe corsa out and my 230bhp astra gsi and the proof will be OMG hahahahaha i should no ive raced my 2 cars together with mates

right ill try and explain my post a bit more. maybe my typing is confusing it abit.

what im trying to say is the statement that cars have gone backwards is utter shite.

Hatchbacks have been getting quicker and better. fact.

your corsa doesnt have the engine which it was designed to have or left the facory with.

the focus st has. kind of understand what im tyring to say?

I have lots of fun in my more expensive car, so that's your theory out the window too

that doesnt even make sense. what theory did i have? all i said was i have more fun in my cheaper car (and also if i happen to have an accident on the nurburgring it will be mine to crash, not the banks) xxx

a corsa xe was never a manufactured car so your point is invalid

you really are a fuckwit. Any old car can go fast in a straight line.
The fact is, you are comparing a car that has had an engine conversion for it to be 'quick' to a standard ctr, which then comes with.......oh wait.....

The better brakes, handling and everything else.
Power means fuck all if you havent got any of the above.

chrisritch yes kind of ur right, WHAT NO ABUSE??????? however the post says ST VS RDTOP CORSA now who's the dumb ass you have completely missed the point mate

one example of cars going backwards in performance = vw golf prime example mate and not too mention my mk4 turbo is only as quick over the 1/4 mile as a 20 year old astra gte says itall really so whats ur point

my xe has 4-pots arguably better than type r

I really hope you dont mean the corsa when you say the 90s hatchback.

A ctr would be quicker than a standard mk4 astra gsi any day.

i'm comparing it to a mk2 astra gte as i said in one of my earlier posts!

ep3 ctr pretty new car-mk2 astra gte old car but pretty much the same straight line performance get it yet??

cars on a whole have moved on,and whats the corsa not having its original engine got to do with anything?you still compare the performance of them, you just cant say the corsa is better std witch it isnt anyway.

Refering to that comment about the performance of old and new cars. A 2.0 na is a 2.0 na. Just because times have changed a 2.0 na wont get much quicker otherwise if the case was every engine increasing performance every year we would be driving around in 2.0s that are as quick as a ferrari all because manfacturers need to constantly increase the power

You can put 4 pots on a corsa and say the only thing better on the corsa than a ctr is the calipers

Why do most people on here hate corsas.

Personally I love them and that's why I'm here.

Yea you may have owned one in the past and still welcome to use the site as it is a good place

But when I see threads like this being made then to have a 7.... + page about slateing corsas I don't get it.

Someone please explain

Chrisritch is owning this thread...

Corsa xes are not standard so the point of cars going backwards is invalid.... Race a corsa gsi against a cotsa vxr and see what happens?

Never heard such a load of shit that ep3 type rs ect arent performance cars. They are easily one of the best performance hatches ever made.

Corsa xes are ok in a straight line... Fair enough. You go on like they are fucking super cars... They are shopping trolleys with 150bhp that is it..

Also corsa120 the rambo act makes you look like a cock
