managed to get the janspeed manifold fitted today, couldnt get it in at first, but managed to in the end. i havent noticed any sound or performance gain at all really. is that normal? also sounds a bit blowey im about 90% sure its coming from the joint with the cat, not the top end.

You won't notice a great deal with an exhaust manifold on it's own, fit a powerbox get it mapped it will be a nice little flyer.

I havent noticed much difference with a 4-2-1 either, and ive got a racetube and decat. Just hope with a better inlet its got abit more go. But tbh i think 1400's wont make amazing power whatever you do to them, think a conversions the way to go. Cars coming together well though

You cant "map" a standard ecu, You can super-chip it, but it wont do much.

Id do powerbox and mild cams without taking the engine apart. From there you could do head work.

I had a 4-1 manifold and a powerbox on my 1.4 sport mate. Made a massive difference. Would definately reccomend doing it! Never had it dyno'd but you really can feel the difference in power!

cheers mate, seems kinda complex, does it really require all that to come out and does the ICV need drilling like that?

cjohnson - i would like to fit one, ill most likely give it a go.

ben G - yeah cost just over £100 but well worth it , means i havent gotta get on my hands and knees pumping the jack up and it fits under the car without parking the car on scaffold boards
