i did think that might happen, it was only scraping on the joint, but literally a crack in the road would make it scrape , it was hanging that low. couldnt understand it. im looking at getting a 4-2-1 with the 2 pipes side by side not on top of eachother. not that i can find any. what one have you got?

4-2-1 is much better for torque/power too. They keep it down the rev range, not right at the top like a 4-1. Also give you more clearance, Only a little bit though.

ended up selling it for the same money i bought it, bought a sportex one which was the same size so thats going straight back. im looking at getting this now :

http://www.larkspeed.com/index.pl?a=i&k=s&p=JSEM4661#

does it look the normal size in length going down? i know its hard to tell in a picture, im gonna ring them tomorrow, but if its longer going down then its no good either.

I had one of them on manifolds but 20XE version, also scrapped like fuck, it took a gouge out of next doors drive way

However I've got a mild steel 4-1 on my X16XE and it's a great fit, and never caught it before. Not a clue on the make.

UPDATE:

i managed to sell my orignally stainless manifold on ebay for the same money, so i only lost out on the postage which is all good. bought a sportex one which turned out to be the same , so they went straight back, didnt even fit it, could see it would be the same. i then went down the route of getting a janspeed one which should fit, but they are in the process of making it now, so should be with me anyday. engine bay is still missing the fan until the new manifold arrives.

got my 80mm springs off Paz1991 which came through the post , so i wasted no time in fitting them.

BEFORE:

couldnt believe how small the springs were!

cheers for the comments guys, my Janspeed manifold arrived yesterday , looks like 3rd time lucky it might actually fit! ill try to get some pictures up tonight.

the only problem ive got with it is that it has a hole for the cold start, which im not going to be using, so i was wondering if i could somehow fill the whole with sealant or something different? needs to be air tight so it doesnt blow, and i dont want to have to put it back on if i can help it, looks much better without. any ideas?
