Dead

Been away working all month so car hasn't had a run in a while. Started her up and it was up and down the revs like a yoyo, took it out anyway and it just wouldn't accelerate at all, just coughed and spluttered. Turned around to bring it back and it died.

Supposed to be insuring it next week too, not going to have time to fix it either. Oh well.

[DansCorsaSXi]Gonna scrap it.[/DansCorsaSXi]

I knew the tag team would be in here....

Booked next weekend off work to sort it, will hopefully get the silcone hoses on too if I have time. Typical that it would happen when I'm about to insure it, need it now more than ever as the QQ is going

Might tow it too a garage and just pay someone.

I'd be busting my ass to fit them too if I was using the car. ATm I'm working flatout and only see the car when I go up to see my parents which is very rarely so I have no love for the car atm. Its tucked up in a barn under a cover

I think the problem is fuel related tbh.

Hmm,sure you'll sort it.

As long as it's covered up that's fine.

Nope Went and filled a can at the pumps, emptied the whole lot into the tank and went to start the car, I noticed under the car was wet then, only the whole £8 of petrol was over the drive

Looked underneath and the fuel line was ripped off. I think whats happened is when I took it out its ran out of juice, I rolled it half into a ditch so I wasn't blocking the road as theres only enough room for 1 car at a time. So I'm thinking maybe when I got towed out of the ditch the fuel line has got ripped off then

Epic.

On the plus side, bought loads of jubilees today for my hoses, just need to get a inlet manifold gasket, new ecotec pipe and adapter plate now and get them all fitted and get her on the road at last

Pain in ass int it?

Removing inlets gonna be a ball ache but i'm sure you'll be fine. Just keep thinking of them fancy red hoses.

Yup I can imagine it being a ball ache due to space being limited. Haven't had a look at it yet though. Should've have used my own own advice and done it while it was out

Only reason I'm doing the manifold gasket is because I believe I have an airleak somewhere and I'm not 100% where. Just want to knock out all possibilities.

Yea yea. Air leaks can be a pain.

Thankfully mine never had any. But instead it taps it's tits off 'cos someone didn't change all bottom end gaskets when it was out of car.

Haven't heard from you in a long time matey! Cheers mate, so close now, starting to get excited

Got a PKP adapter plate here to use instead of my home made jobby and got a new ecotec pipe ordered, so will be fitting them along with the hoses and there should be no more air leak!

I've also got fault code 14 Coolant Temperature Sensor (CTS) Low voltage which could be causing the high idle/erratic idle to. I've tried a new CTS etc , check the connections and there all fine so I'm going to strip back the loom. Hopefully doing all this on sunday providing theres room in the unit

All being well with all that done she'll be running sweet as a nut. Got my insurance money sitting here waiting so I'm in gear more than ever now
