Mine ran like that fine so it won't be that, did you change the inlet gasket/have the inlet off at all mate?

Yea I didn't think that was anything to do with it, no Darryl, never had the inlet off. Going to get some carb cleaner and spray it around tomorrow see if I can find it that way, if not then drastic measures will have to be taken

Tried that a few times Kev and no joy, definitely an air leak somewhere.

These are the ones I bought mate - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/190504672461#ht_839wt_952

Brought the car to her new home last night, done the 60 mile trip with no major issues. Theres a few things that need sorted but for its first run it wasn't to bad tbh. The steering wheel is off centre when the wheels are straight, don;t know if this is how I fitted it or if the tracking needs done, also pulls to the left when driving straight, but both of them are no biggy.

One thing that needs sorted though are the brakes, they are bloody shocking and we bleed them just before I took it up, checked the fluid upon arrival and it hadn't moved so theres no leaks. I have a feeling the calipers are seized.

Apart from that it no other issues

Took some pics too, nice to have some with a different background

Fitted my airbox pipe that Darryl kindly donated, thanks

How fast do we think I could go down the lane?

Good update Jamie.

Car looks even nicer with a nice background instead of a fence.

Glad you've drove the car with no major problems. Bet your happy with it.

Now get this garage built.

Cheers Dan, it does yeah, a fence and a house that looks like a face , nice to have a change

I'm very happy with it, been considering selling up and getting a 306 D-Turbo for a few weeks now, started to get fed up with the running problem and stuff but the drive made realise how stupid I'm being, all the time and effort just to get rid due to a couple of faults.

And a garage won't be happening any time soon tbh

No probs mate, would have been a shame if you got rid.

Only joking with the garage, would be awesome though.

Also there is a plus you live out of the way because when you start and rev redtop it's not disturbing anyone.

I reckon best thing about the house you are in now is that you don't have to go anywhere to get nice pics

So is this the new house or new home for the car? If it's your house that view and lane is epic!!!!!

Glad you got it moved! You feel like the muts nuts driving it for the first time

Not too many problems either by the sounds of it! Just don't sell it for a french thing If you are thinking about it just take the corsa for a blast down the lane to make you realise you're being foolish

My parents new house Darryl, and I'm tagging along because its a beaut

I was abit worried about getting it moved tbh, part of the reason I was thinking of selling it but I took a risk and it paid off , I did feel great driving it, just a pity I couldn't enjoy it more due to no brakes or speedo, plus the wipers weren't the best and the lights were terrible Still felt epic though

A few of my mates drive them french things and I just started to get very keen on them, I'll be more keen on the Corsa though when there in my rear view mirror

As lovely as the airbox intake pipe is, I think it's a bit redundant given there's no pipe from airbox to inlet
