Pistons £450
Zlet pump and pickup £300
Clutch and flywheel £650

That's £1400 before you have even added the ARP's, rebuilt Coscast head, Cometic gasket, rebored block etc etc.


i no but it has pistons. oil pump flywheel and clutch so am savin a bit


only said it mate as i bought chris suttins old engine and the only parts that have been left in my engine now is the bare head and the crank, which has had a re grind , wish i had just built mine from bare block , whould of been cheeper

picked up a few more filters



some cam pully bolts





cam pully washers





got my self a brand spanking new alt











and fitted the new hubs





went to tighten up the track rod end and it screwed up the threads



so bought 2 as to keep one spare





old on right new on left

got slam pannel and cam cover back from sandblasting, as cam cover was marked and painter said it would be difficult to get into all the bolt holes





cleaned it all out



and refitted the parts back to gearbox

Why not just send on to the strippers in Preston Ben, I'd personally never trust a sand blasted one

log book came back from dvla today , only thing as will they send me a letter saying i owe x amount for the tax class change as its still taxed as a 1.0

Yeah, I got a letter mate, saying how much was owed between conversation date an tax running out

bit it isnt 2000cc it's 1998cc

i've seen the dvla refuse applications which put 2000cc instead of 1998??

If its on 86.5 or 87mm pistons it aint 1998cc though is it!

thanks matt, feels great when people read it all the way through, fair few pages there now, no more updated just waiting on getting the engine back and it should be back in and running the same day, just need to order some more oil this week

I think mine being on 87mm takes it to 2045cc so rounding up it has to be a 2.1 instead of 2.0. Shit I best send my docs off to the DVLA before I get bum raped by the 5

took gregs shell down to beardys today for some welding , while i was there i took my inlet there to have the throttle cable bracket reinforced as i dont want it bending

, also spoke to steveboy today, head is back from neil ropers , just waiting on block cming back early next week and hopefully i can collect it the end of next week/weekend
