Went to do a bit more last night, did far more than I expected !

Fitted the water pump and timing belt kit
Also got cracking on the transmission so
flywheel on
Clutch on
Box on






Whizzed the tie bar off aswell ready for the engine going in
Just need to remove the shafts



Paint can ftw!


If anyone's thinking of fitting an f28 on there own there heavy

I have been busy on my b ....

Started fitting the loom





Fitted all the exhaust



Put my crank pulley on



Alternator belt on



Moved the bracket near the battery tray



For the coil



Replaced all the roof rail clips as a good amount got broke when removed



And on



This has been annoying me for a while ....



New distributor on



Picked up an uncut parcel shelf



When I got my new door the door pin never sat right so I investigated and the old holder for the pin was broken so a trip to the scrap yard a stripped corsa door and a little while later I had this



And it fits here



Vauxhall don't sell these separately they only sell the door lock mechanism that has it included

Door card built up after 99% complete just need a clip for the mirror cover



Black rocker on (with brand new gm gasket fitted)





Blue L piece is being binned get my red one back on Friday

Few more bits fitted in the last pic, I've fitted the throttle cable, gear linkage, clutch cable, fuel filter, oil filter and a few other bits also got a brand new battery tray from Sean



New GM battery



Need some gearbox oil for my F28 I've been advised on using this ?? Any ideas

Bit of an update 15/4/14

Got myself a new battery genuine gm (Astra size)



Got some GM fluids



This is the gearbox oil for anyone who wants to know



Few other bits ..



And on



Painted all underneath (took ages !)



And the gearbox mount



Also nipped down South to get this off corsadonk , cheers mike

So a long while since my last update

My L piece finally got finished and fitted !







Mocked up the gsi steering wheel gonna be a tight fit I think


Fitted some bonnet lifter struts


Got the rear gearbox mount fitted properly I fitted it incorrectly first time round so my throttle body touched the bulkhead Doh! All fixed now though





I cracked on with the wiring matched up the wires in the footwell but the turbo loom doesn't seem to be getting a feed.
I think (and I could be wrong) that on the corsa 9 pin plug there is a thick black wire and a thick red wire that I havnt connected to the turbo loom as I'm not sure where they go to but I think I'm right in saying it's the live and earth feed ?

If you look in this picture closely you can see the red and black wires that go into the corsa plug

There is a new oil filter on now

Still waiting on my top hat from Tx autosport 2 months now :/
