Tho on the o2 forum people are saying you just phone up and buy one and you get one with no messing about in store waiting for stuff to come in...

I've googled and got an answer but does anyone here have experience of using a normal data package in an iPhone?

I can't see any reason for it not to work but would be nice if somebody says they do it currently.

Do my eyes decieve me, are you really going to get an iPhone?!

I previously had a simplicity contract with data package bolt on, exactly the same thing.

If you look back to when the specs were announced you'll see I agree it's a good phone and would have possibly got one if it weren't for the stupid pricing.

Apple are still a terrible company though.

I may have the chance of getting one too cheap to pass up on, I could even sell it on again for a nice profit if need be.

Other thing is unlocking them, it's on the wrong network.

The other carrier might be able to unlock them?
I know o2 unlock them for £15 max.

On a similar note then, the 'Desire HD' is rumoured to be released for October which will be a strong contender.

It's o2 it's on, will they unlock an iphone 4 if I asked

I won't get a Desire HD as cheap as I'm getting the iphone.

Cheap enough to be able to sell a used desire and come out even at worst.

Ordered mine yesterday, spoke to a yorkshire man at o2 and he upgraded me

gone for a black 32gb, just got to wait 3-5 days

Are you sure? Any iPhone 4 locked to o2 will be in contract, the website says:

Pay Monthly customers

If you're a Pay Monthly customer, then your iPhone can be unlocked at any point for free. Don't forget that you will still need to honour the remainder of the minimum term of your contract.

Please note, iPhone 4 cannot be unlocked.

There are pages of people on the o2 forum who have tried with o2 and been refused.

No, i didn't originally have a bumper. They had some in stock(hanley store)and i took one to the counter and said, 'if i buy this, can i get a refund?' and they swiped it through the till and gave it to me with no exchange of cash

But then they are all numptys in my o2 store, was like taking to a brick wall when trying to find out when they were getting the iPhone 4 prior to it release.

Colourware stuff looks shocking 99% of the time and they do a lot more than iPhone, they also charge quite a bit for it.
