It used to look a hell of a lot different, but he sold all the bits cos he needed the money!!! The 'battle scars' are from an accident he had with a wall in the snow IIRC. This car has had a shed load of work done to the suspension and arches to allow it to run that low daily, its on coils, no bags here! One of the things he has done is to raise the suspension turret 40mm so the shock/spring can still work as it should and not be over compressed. I will try find some pics when it was looking its best

Doesnt mean it will handle, Geometry is appauling - i bet an invalid carriage sticks its line better in corners.

So basically its a golf slammed on some wheels that dont fit properly and need stretched tires, but instead of being overpriced german ones, they are overpriced jap motorsport ones usuall reserved for real cars with big power... Kinda like putting alloys on said invalid carriage!

He raised the turrets so the shock sits about halfway down its platform, so handling should still be good and it has been used on track.

Maybe the suspension does work.

But, I was questioning how well it would handle being that ridiculously low...

Regardless of the turret work or whatever, it still looks shit.

Deary me. I'm sitting here shaking my head at that bike on the roof.

When i have a spare tyre on for acouple of days i feel like a twat, it must feel awful having to drive that day to day.

fair enough its different to have jap wheels, which in their own right are cool but not on that car and too make it worse it looks like he can only afford two.

As to why it has various battle scars.

I like certain bits on it, but I also don't like various bits - eg. to make it low he raised the turrets etc, ffs, just don't do it?!

does he drive round with the bike on the roof when he's not using it? kind of like the people who put picnic baskets on their roofs.

looks nice otherwise. not in the other pics where it just looks shit and beaten up.

I can imagine the project thread saying 'Tonight I added a scuff to the bumper, I got my mate to direct me slowly into a wall, I think the end result looks great'.

Its nothing but a poor show car, giving people who are on the complete opposite end of the spectrum and purely like driving for driving and not showing off to pretentious little idiots, a bad name.
