I was hoping this would be a post to show photos of my new car. But no.
The guy whose car it is brother just phoned me, he said the owner has had to go to Pakistan so I wont be able to have the car. He says he will be gone for 6-7 weeks and asked if the money had left my account yet, to which I replied yes. He said on monday he would transfer the money back into my account to which I asked couldnt I just pick it up anyway? He says the guy took the keys with him so no. Apparently if I wait til the guy gets back, he will sell it to me at a discounted price.
To say i'm fucking furious is an understatement, I was really looking forward to getting that car as it had the exact spec I was after, I was due to pick it up monday and had arranged transport to get there and everything.
I swear on my life, if I dont get my money back, there will be blood on my hands.

I'm not local, I tried to pick cash up from the bank before and it was going to take ages, plus I dont like having any amount of cash on me, its not traceable like back accounts, so, yeah I did.

I wouldn't be so sure pal, he could have just been talking to her, scams like this are common but I hope it isn't and that you get your money back.

Hate to ask but why didnt you just do a deposit with a receipt (10%??) instead of the whole cash price and no keys or V5 or anything?

I'm presuming you've HPi'd the car etc to check it's a legit car for starters? Hope it wasn't a "too good to be true" price as well?

i would never at any stage handed over all the money until i had the keys or car, even if it meant waiting a few more days to get the cash from the bank....
