Hi all on corsa sport im fairly new on here although im on my third corsa now .

Firstly il introduce myself, im Neil from hinckley leicestershire.

It all started when i had a 1.0 12v corsa for my first car

I Now have this car some of you may reconise from the shows

Polo GTI 1.8t with full self built JL Audio/ DLS sound system

For a bit of fun i then brought this xe'd gsi

I loved this car is was such good fun and pulled so well . I then decided to sell this corsa which i regreated as soon as it lefted my drive

So it got me looking at C20LET'd corsa's . Ended up buying Sam_paynes corsa just for the spec, history and tidy shell .

Heres how i brought it last week:

The plan is;

Remove all the bodykit and fit post 97 half colour coded bumpers.
Remove tailpipes and have full new system made up with 3" outward rolled tailpipe
Remove Front projector lights and fit standard units
Remove rear tail lights and fit standard units for now with nice 1's spotted for the future
Take off the 17"s and fit smaller wheels to get the car lower and handling better
Remove all glued on painted plastic arch trims and fit new standard black all round
Fit new front inner arches as the 1's in have been cut for bodykit
Jet clean the underside before treating and undersealing all the underneath
Do a new cambelt kit on the engine just for reasurance and just generally go over the bay.
Just generally do everithing needed to have a clean corsa let

OH AND ENJOY

So into the garage it went and work began stripping it and selling the bits to pay for standard bits

Front wing is gona be replaced too due to crease

Finally them tailpipes get removed and sold

Aswell as the rear bumper

So now im at this stage, all things i dont want stripped off the car and most of it sold . Jet cleaned all the underside including arches, tank, beam etc ready for treating and undersealing.

Thats all for now, more progress soon i hope and check my classified ad as i still have wheels, front bumper and skirts to sell to help fund the project.

Thanks for looking.

More progress today, not so interesting yet thow as its just starting.

Firstly i collected my wheels from tomo on here , There not my final choice and offset aint perfect but they will get me on the road for a start rarther than them 17"s

A quick test fit, on rear

Ok now time to begin treating the underside for rust and making it look a bit tidier . Heres wat im using

So the shocks and springs were removed aswell as the rubber spring mats, then i wire brushed all the areas to be treated. The wheel well, rear arches and rear panel area is where im doing today. The kurust is then used first this treats the scabby areas, goes on white, turns to blue then dries black if its worked correctly, then after that Underseal is being used to seal and protect

And heres 3 piks of when the underseal was put on, sorry poor quality

Ok while i let that go off, i collected my new parts from James_surfolk off here (Cheers mate)

2 front headlights
Front passenger wing
2 wing mirrors
Arch trims, although buying new 1's of these i wanted the fixings off them
2 inner arches
Calibra base for my rear covers to be fitted

Finally after these parts were collected i decided to order 4 arch trims brand new off ebay, not genuine but £30 delivered for the lot
Also oredered my self some fresh new lights off ebay, these will be revieled soon

Thats all for today, i know its boring at this stage lol.

Only a bit of progress to report today people,

Firstly i back to blacked my mirrors and got them on

Then i cleaned up the rear shocks and springs and built the rear suspension back up, leaving the platforms off this time as im running smaller wheels now

Then i began treating the front inner arches, masked up the brake lines and fuel pipes so it wouldnt look messy. Also treated the drivers front wing before arch trims go on

Thats all i had time to do today , il underseal the front arches 2morro.

UPDATE

Once the kurust had dried, i undersealed the front arches.

Next, thanks to DAZ on here i brought his post 97 bumpers , front 1 was cut but thats no prob for my project n e way.

Offered the front 1 up without the intercooler as it was mounted far to low before (because of the kit)

Flipped the intercooler around so now the inlet is at the bottom and main body sitting higher up, marked the crash bar as it needed to be cut out.

And heres once the crash bar was cut out and intercooler in place. Will be making pukka mounts for this soon.

Next i free'd up both height adjusting nuts both side on the front coilovers and coated in copper ease to prevent from seizing up for further adjustments.

Fitted a new water pump while i was waiting for my cambelt kit to arrive (egnore the mess it all needs a clean up once shes built back up)

Oh and a nice 1 to finish off, my new crystal rear lights arrived from germany (although without bulb holders and fixings) il sort that

Thats all for now
