So I've lost intrest in the van now, and I had a free hour or two yesterday, so I throught I may as well start on stripping it

On a brighter note I fitted some Depo's to the Sport after the Action day at Combe.

I've bought a few random bits this week, a type C manifold off Mr Fly, which should turn up next week, and a budget set of Alcons Thanks Craig.
Which I trail fitted this aftenoon before I started to remove bits from the van, however they rub on the inside of the five spokes

I've now only got a few bits I need to remove before the engine comes out I'm still abit worried how I'm gonna get it to my shed at the top of the garden

Thanks Craig for the wheely thing:beer:

I had a day off today, and it stopped raining at 8 so time to crack on.

Which left me with a shed looking like this.

One thing I can say is an XE is flipping heavy, my back is hurting after lifting it in the shed by myself Which was the colour I went lmao
In the back ground you can see my BTB manifold which came today
The back end looks Sporty

Engineless engine bay

Time to speak to a scrap yard we use at work and see if they can pick it up like it is.

I've mostly been collecting bits

A SBD type C, from Mr Spanish.

2 1/2'' Magnex, sorry forgot your username, but also off here

On the weekend I drove all the way up to Yorkshire, to see Dave b, who gave me these which was very nice of him

So now all I need is, some new coilovers, some wheels and tyres that fit my new brakes set up, and a car

Yeah way out. I will do but after Combe, but does feel a bit slugish now

How ever we have got an extra hour of sun light after tomorrow

Good good, told you it would be that, now get those good cams in and sort it

i made this mistake.

Aftermarket cams are not necessary in the same cam lugs for timing!

they need to be dialed in correctly, mine on standard markings where say 3-4 teeth out where they should of been!

Cheers. Na the car will be the last thing I buy, I'd rather do it all in one go

The Van was picked up on Friday with a skip lorry

I ordered a few things from Skurrays, one of which was a O2 sensor for the Sport the MOT man said may emission were out when I went, so I finally got round to fitting one today

I think it's a bit dodgy with it only reading from one port:confused:

On Friday I got another set of wheels, that seem to fit a lot better than all the others I've tried so far

I now only need, a car, and tyres. So I can get started, on the build.
I bought these which I'm pretty happy about, sorry about the poor picture but it always seems to be dark, when I've got time for stuff at the moment.

I also bought some seats, which I'll get a picture of tomorrow, I haven't even seen them in the light.

My EML seems to of stopped coming on in the Sport, after fitting the o2 sensor. Touch wood

It's off a Isuzu Trooper, also the same as a Vauxhall Monterey. It held on past 130 It really helped with cooling to.

I also got these seats this week, thanks Rob.

They've got a few rips but noting that bothers me. They also seem to be pretty comfy, considering I ain't thin

I also gave the daily runner a good wash, I don't think I've washed it for more than 2 months
And afterwards

Also got a better picture of the coilovers.

I gave the Sport a little service today, the last few times I've started from cold, I had a slight tappet noise. I drianed the oil, which had become pretty thick.

So I filled it back up with 3.5l of semi, and a new filter.

I also changed the fuel filter, which took me a while to work out how to undo the clips.
