Di you fit the black bilstein shockers on your sport mate if so whats the ride quality like? and do the front struts have the allen key hole at the top of the strut so the mounts can be tightened up easier?

I haven't done the fronts yet, because I rounded the allen key hole

What happened to the B10's you bought?

Iv had both rear shockers replaced due to knocking and now the new replacement shockers starting to do the same.

So was thinking of either sending the whole kit back and buying a set of these black ones with them been slightly uprated and buying dome -60mm springs for them.

Do they feel firmer than been on standard shocks?

Yeah a touch better than standard, I may try and buy just a single front. How do you mean knocking?

Like a rattleing when going over bumps and its definetley the shockers because when i took them off to send them back i put standards on and noise had gone, took me weeks to find out what the noise was as the kit had only been on just over a month and it was the last thing i thought it would have been.

I dont really wanna spend much because i will be splitting my car once if found an astra.

Hi all did a bit of work again, I've been playing with the needle highs, to try and find a good medium, but I lost one of the tiny springs that sit on top of the needle, for about an hour or so:doh:
I also treated myself to a set of door cards of ebay

I also soldered the fuel pump with, because it cut out on me last weekend, I tried all the wires, till I noticed the pump wasn't running anymore, the wire had come out of the connector:doh:

I also fitted my anti-roll bar back on, and front strut brace, I've ordered a rear but it hasn't turned up yet

A lot of oil patches on the drive
I'm also think that the tie-bar maybe catching my mount for the crank sensor, because the thing holding it has broken, and it's pretty bent.

Thanks for looking hope to see some people next weekend at Combe

I went for good long drive last night, to make sure everything is ok. All went well, and I popped my 11's cherry

I know they ain't the darkest ones but hay, I didn't use the handbrake
The scoop seems to flow pretty well to.

Bit of a moth catcherlmao

Nothing like last minute work. I'm off all week so gave the van a little oil change as well.

You haven't booked any track time then?

I bought a short shift linkage, a while back for the black one because the GF said it was really sloppy and she didnt like it, and today throught I'd have a go at fitting it.

I also put all new bushes on it, and the LMF middle one, which made putting the main pin back in a right pain, it was much easier when I did it on the F20 out of the car.
I ordered a rear strut brase about 2 weeks ago, and today it finally turned up, so once I'd done the linkage I fitted that.

I found getting the lower inlet off a right mare, with the fact you can't get to half of the bolts on the back of the head, I bought a VX one and sold it. Almost a engine out job

Getting to the gear linkage was bad enough. Cheers not gonna break it for a while, planning on having some fun tomorrow

Went to TVL yesterday, and on the way it started to play up again I think it's the fuel pump again, so it was down on grutten, and wouldn't rev past 4.5rpm which is the start of the power band

So sorry if I held anyone up, I did try to get out of peoples way.

However I was very impressed with how it handled, with them crappy Firestone tyres

It looks like the pump is fine But the regulator seems to have adjusted it's self so the pressure was at 0psi again So I'm gonna get a in line gauge, and keep the reg and gauge in a place it's easy to get to.

I've bought a few bits so I can check my fuel pressure after the trouble I had at Combe.

I've now mounted the regulator to the base of the strut brace.

This is a picture with the gauge port blanked off.

I went to a scrappie today, because after seeing some high res pictures from TVL it's looking really sorry for it's self

I've treated it to a set of rear arch trims, scraped most of the gripfill off that has been left on when the side skirts fell off, I'll put some black in a flash on some when

Also the black Sport hit a little mile stone today.

She has done a fair few miles now.

So I've been trying to get the van to run right. I bought a new fuel pump, bigger Filter King regulator, then I ran a 10mm fuel line to it and it still hasn't worked.

The chassie is started to become infested with tin worm, so my plan was to re-shell the engine over the winter, so I'm now starting to break the van, because I've had enough of it now.

I'm not sure what to do now, re-shell it but maybe go for Jenvey's and stand alone. Or sell the lot and get a MX5, which will be pretty slow but RWD
