I know this has been asked/answered so many times but i cant be bothered searching through all the endless posts about it (all of which have different answeres anyway)

Right, I have et45 17" alloys, with 205/40/17 Falken tires and i want my car lowering 40mm, I dont think i will need any arch work done to do this but my mate thinks i will.

Can anybody tell me what is needed, if anything, to do this.

Cheers in advance

just a case of removing the top 2 bolts and bonding the archs on. possibly may need to trim the plastic a ltittle, depends on your car really, they all seem to be different.

i had gsi skirts on my 5 door yes, but they were mad e esspecially for 5 door corsas. i believe mav3000 has em now.
i now have impact 3 door skirts, its just a case of getting the angle grinder and fibreglass and body filler out. not too hard if u know what your doing. btw i taught myself.

the ones i bought were a superb fit, also plastic. to be honest they fitted better than half the standard stuff on the car. only 99 notes aswell.
panique will need filler and trimming to fit.

think u got the wrong end of the stick, the gsi ones i had were designed for a 5 door and required no work. its the 3 door skirts i have thT REQUIRE CUTTING ETC.. NORMAL 3 DOOR GSI ONES WILL ALSO NEED CUTTING

just take the bolts out your arches and have your arches bonded! in fact if you do that then i dont see why you cant go lower than 40m.

Bigger arches - don't think so! I'm getting alloys this summer so will find out just how big mine are then!

Yes I do have the GSI 5dr arches - well there on order from the gal I bought them off.

I'll let you know how they look once I get ym car colour coded - but I'm saving for an Air Dam front before then as well, and am currently worrying if an Air Dam will fit my car as I've got both Air Con and Power Steering!

the gsi ones do from www.tuning.co.uk

99 plus postagge, no they didnt need modifying, they are made essecially for 5 door corsas, best piece of after market kit ive ever got, i only trimmed a slight bit round the front wing so it sat really snug. other than that perfect fit.

probably a bit of trimming here and there, they are fibreglass so are guarenteed to require some filling and sanding etc..

i fitted 17" ET42 alloys to my corsa b, lowered 60mm at rear and 45mm at front, and it did not scrape at all....ive now got a set of 17" ET45's on there, and its even better. Thats also with two 15" subs in the box, using just springs on standard shocks.
