Got a lot done today, pretty much finished. Still need to put the exhaust on, tidy the wiring, and get it ready for MOT.

Pics:

Headlights and indicators are just sitting in place atm, so need to get that done too.

Took it a blast down the road with no exhaust, noisy to say the least

Just made a list of work for the MOT, wish I hadnt

Fit exhaust
Fix hazzard lights
New headlight bulb
New number plate bulb
Handbrake cable
Might have to clean the front brakes up, they are terrible atm, must be with sitting for so long
Possiblt fix a brake line

And I need to seal the rocker cover AGAIN, bloody thing keeps leaking. Also think theres a water leak at the back of the engine, going to be a nightmare to get into it now

Fucking hell, most of them sound like easy fixes anyway. The only ones that will be a pain are the brake line, depending on if you'll have to cut out and replace a piece, the rocker cover and water leak :/ also, get that back wiper off and I'll send you a grommet

Rocker cover is sealed now, I think. Was just in one corner by the timing belt cover that it was being a dick, but think I have it sealed now.

Not all sure if it is leaking or not, cant see any drips, but the water seemed well down today, but they while I think about it, it probably was just filing up the matrix, filled it after the engine went in and never checked it untill now, topped it up and it hasnt lost any more.

Its a fairly easy brake line to replace anyway, just from the drivers side front to the master cylinder, pain in the arse bleeding all the brakes though.

Yup

You cant buy rocker cover gaskets for them, need to buy a whole new rocker cover, and they are £80odd from peugeot.

Instant gasket will have to do for now untill I find a second hand rocker cover with a good seal

How true

It was running fine in the saxo, so theres no reason why it should run shite in the 106

Exhaust is on, blowing a little at the manifold though. Think ill put it for MOT like that, see if it passes with it, if not Ill just fix it when im putting the 4 branch on, which I hope arrives soon

Few little teathing problems, seems to be getting hot quite quickly, did the same in the VTS, think there is a water leak after all

Its seriously gay how they dont do rocker cover gaskets. Id a few attempts at getting mine to seal. Oil caps are also prone to leaking, unscrew it 1/4 turn and it stops

I had trouble sealing my covers too. They don't use gaskets.

I finally sealed mine by applying a thin layer of sealer to the cover and letting it set, applying some to the head and fitting the cam covers so the bolts are not fully tight, then tightening properly once set.

Worked a treat.

Its sealed now, managed to get it with the instant gasket, but getting some new rockers from daz along with a few other bits, so will clean up that instant gasket.

Got my manfold

Then put dannyb's manifold in the box it came in:

Then put it on: (Fucking CUNT of a job, my hands are covered in cuts after it )

Havent taken it out yet as the top inlet is off, trying to figure out why the hell its idling at 1800rpm, was doing the same in the saxo. Thinking its the ICV, but cleaning out the TB and top inlet box to see if it helps.
